Bishop Athanasius Schneider recalled his childhood in the underground Church of the Soviet Union during a talk in Cobh, Ireland, on August 3, AdVaticanum.com reports. “There were times when we had gatherings like this, but we had to close the windows and the doors because we were checked by the secret police, and we had to hide priests.” He recounted the story of Bishop Alexander Chira (1897-1983), a clandestine Greek Catholic bishop whom Soviet authorities urged “not to deny Christ, but only to become Orthodox,” thereby breaking communion with Rome. “He refused,” Bishop Schneider said, and, as a consequence, he was imprisoned in “several concentration camps called gulags.” Afterward, Bishop Chira lived under house arrest in Karaganda, concealing his identity as a bishop to avoid being sent back. “He could not reveal his identity as a bishop,” Bishop Schneider said. “Otherwise, he would be sent back. So he could only say to the people, ‘I am Father Alexander.’” Catholic priests celebrated …More

06.08.2026 Vatican Council II supports the traditionalists, the newspapers must note: apology due to the SSPX Yesterday I posted an e-mail to the editor of the daily Il Messaggero, Rome, telling him that the media reports on Vatican Council II are irrational and not rational, dishonest and not honest, political and non apostolic and non magisterial. They are schismatic. I mentioned that when Vatican Council II is interpreted rationally it is dogmatic, ecclesiocentric and traditional and this was not told to Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre and Fr. Leonard Feeney of Boston. They were allowed to remain excommunicated even though the Council was ecclesiocentric. Pope Benedict, Pope Francis and Pope Leo have not disclosed this important information to the SSPX, SBC, F.I and Ecclesia Dei communities. We now know that Vatican Council II is aligned with the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus (EENS) and LG 8, 14, 16, UR 3, NA 2, Gs 22 in Vatican Council II are not practical exceptions for EENS. Normalization of Pseudo Deaconesses at the Altar: On 26 July, the Parish of Timelkam in the Diocese of Linz, Austria, celebrated the patronal feast of St. Anne in Oberthalheim, reported the parish's Facebook page. As is now common in German-speaking dioceses, a female pastoral assistant, vested in an alb and liturgical scarf, was carrying out liturgical ministry from both the ambo and at the altar during the Eucharist.

The risk of love Thursday 6of August - Solemnity of the Transfiguration of the Lord Jesus, transfiguring himself on Mount Tabor, before the amazed eyes of Peter, James and John, opens a "window", so to speak, on the "future angelic state" that awaits us. Only in this perspective can we understand his heartfelt appeal to love always, everybody, especially the enemies. It is true that if we try to love according to "Jesus' style", we run the risk of "being crucified", but the Father asks us to listen to and follow the example of his beloved Son with unlimited trust, because it is precisely by loving "to the end" , just like Jesus loved, that the glory of the Resurrection is achieved
Montagna’s piece seems more of an attack of the messenger La Razón and the usual scapegoat, Roche. It is possible that La Razón’s unnamed source is Roche himself. But the point really in all of this is, are they factually inaccurate and wrong as claimed by Montagna? Hardly. To be frank, Montagna in her piece comes across as desperate, belligerent, and hostile in her attacks of La Razón and Cardinal Roche
THE MYSTERIES OF THE ROSARY Mysteries of Light - The Mysteries of the Rosary Mysteries of Light/Luminous First Mystery of Light: The Baptism in the Jordan. "And when Jesus was baptized, he went up immediately from the water, and behold, the heavens were opened and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and alighting on him; and lo, a voice from heaven, saying, 'This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well-pleased"' (Mt 3:16-17). Our Father, 10 Hail Marys (contemplating the mystery), Glory be to the Father. Second Mystery of Light: The wedding feast of Cana. "On the third day there was a marriage at Cana in Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there; Jesus also was invited to the marriage, with his disciples. When the wine failed, the mother of Jesus said to him, 'They have no wine.' And Jesus said to her, 'O woman, what have you to do with me? My hour has not yet come.' His mother said to the servants, 'Do whatever he tells you"' (Jn 2:1-5). Our Father, 10 Hail Marys (contemplating …More

The Archdiocese of Pamplona and Tudela, Spain, has distanced itself on August 5 from comments by one of its priests after he called for the "reconquest of Morocco and its conversion to Christianity" following the invasion into the Spanish enclave of Ceuta. In a statement, the archdiocese said Rev. Javier Aizpún's remarks were "strictly personal opinions" that "neither represent nor are shared in any way by this diocesan Church." The controversy stemmed from a post on X.com in which Aizpún, parish priest of San Juan Evangelista in Huarte and a canon of Pamplona Cathedral, wrote: "May Our Lady of Africa, patron saint of Ceuta, inspire the reconquest of Morocco and its conversion to Christianity. May we finish what Queen Isabella the Catholic left undone." In subsequent posts, he also called for Spain to "bombard Rabat" and "open fire if necessary" in response to the mass crossing of invaders into Ceuta. Archbishop Florencio Roselló sought an explanation from Rev. Aizpún, describing the …More
Replace "I have to" with "I get to" One small change in language can completely shift the way you experience your day. Instead of saying, “I have to,” try saying, “I get to.” For example, when you wake up and think, “I have to go to work today,” replace it with, “I get to go to work today.” The phrase “I have to” often carries a sense of obligation, frustration, and resistance. It makes an ordinary responsibility feel like a burden. “I get to,” however, redirects your attention toward the opportunity hidden inside the same situation. “I get to help my child with homework.” “I get to be exactly who I am.” “I get to walk to the store and buy groceries.” “I get to work and support myself.” “I get to clean a home that gives me shelter.” “I get to call someone I love.” The task itself has not changed, but your perspective has. What once felt like an inconvenience can become a reminder that you still have abilities, opportunities, relationships, and choices that should not be taken for granted. …More
Leo XIV will wear liturgical vestments by his homosexual tailor Filippo Sorcinelli, 51, during the celebrations today in Assisi and on 22 August in Rimini. Sorcinelli said this in an interview with Corriere.it on 2 August. The Assisi vestments draw inspiration from 13th- and 14th-century paintings of the Porziuncola, while the Rimini vestments, created for a Eucharist by the sea, feature porthole motifs symbolizing water as the source of life. Sorcinelli says every papal vestment is designed specifically for the place and liturgy in which it will be used. He first met the future pope when he was still a cardinal, fitting him with a mitre presented by Augustinian confreres from Vienna. Sorcinelli says he later saw the same mitre reappear after Prevost's election as pope. Leo XIV's election helped Sorcinelli overcome a deep existential crisis. After more than a decade designing vestments for Pope Francis, Sorcinelli had considered leaving liturgical design to focus on organ music and his …More
1) Wisdom 14:12; The invention of idols was the beginning of fornication; their discovery, the corruption of life. a) Ezekiel 8:6; He said to me, “Son of man, do you see what these people are doing—the great abominations that the house of Israel is committing here to drive me away from my Sanctuary? You will yet see other great abominations.” b) Revelation 2:14; I have this against you: you tolerate some there who hold to the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balak to put a stumbling block before the children of Israel so that they might eat food sacrificed to idols and commit fornication. c) After leading the flock into the sin of idolatry, in the next step they introduce Fiducia Supplicans, which paves the way for fornication. d) As a result, many Altars, Churches, and Liturgical Ornaments of the Catholic Church around the world are being decorated with LGBTQ colors. 2) Obedience as an instrument to obtain adherence to iniquity: a) The only excuse the Church authorities have to impose …More
