Vatican Case Against SilereNonPossum Closed: The case against SilereNonPossum.com has reportedly ended, with the Vatican courts ruling they lacked jurisdiction. The complaint was filed by politician and businessman Angelo Chiorazzo over a 2023 Facebook post that described him as having “more criminal proceedings than hairs on his head.” The Vatican courts dismissed the case on jurisdictional grounds, without ruling on the defamation claim itself.
The Church has “frequently wounded the LGBT community through judgmentalism and exclusion,” Washington Cardinal Robert McElroy claimed in a June 20 homily at the homosexual conference Outreach, held at the Jesuits’ Georgetown University. US Bishop Abolishes Another Mass in Roman Rite: Bishop William F. Medley of Owensboro, Kentucky, has ordered Rev. David Kennedy to stop celebrating according to the Roman Missal after June 30. He will only permit the Novus Ordo celebrated in Latin and ad orientem instead. Bishop Medley explains he cannot certify - as Vatican instructions required - that the parish has taken steps to move the faithful toward the Novus Ordo. He delayed action to see if Leo XIV would reconsider Traditionis Custodes but proceeded after the Cardinals' January Consistory declined to revisit the document.

On June 20, Leo XIV has appointed Rev Elímar Gerardo Carvajal Durán, 50, as Bishop of Puntarenas, Costa Rica. Born in Grecia in 1976 and ordained a priest in 2003, Monsignor Carvajal Durán has served in various pastoral roles within the Diocese of Alajuela and most recently as Diocesan Vicar for Pastoral Ministry. He needs to affirm the Creeds, Councils and Cathechisms in the original. He does not do this. This is a canonical issue. With Vatican Council II rational we can affirm the Council and Tradition. But the bishop, with Vatican Council II irrational cannot affirm both. A bishop who cannot affirm de fide teachings in Tradition which are not contradicted by Vatican Council II, cannot hold his office.
