Otto von Bismarck, despite his diplomatic brilliance, misjudged his attempt to weaken the Catholic Church during the Kulturkampf (1871–1878). Instead of undermining Catholic influence, his policies unified Catholics and strengthened their political party. Realizing the failure, Bismarck reversed course to gain Catholic support against Socialists, rolling back most measures by 1887.
Really intelligent people tend to make this really stupid mistake. This is Otto von Bismarck, former Chancellor of Germany. Despite almost universal acclaim for his diplomacy, even he made a really stupid mistake. Between 1871 and 1878, Bismarck’s goal was to subordinate the Catholic Church to the newly unified German Empire, fearing that Catholics (who looked to the Pope in Rome) were a "threat" to national unity. This time became known as the "Kulturkampf" (Cultural Struggle). By 1878, Bismarck realized the Kulturkampf was failing. Instead of breaking the Catholic Church, the persecution had unified Catholics and strengthened the Zentrum (Center) Party. Needing Catholic support to fight his new political enemy—the Socialists—Bismarck began a slow "retreat" from these policies, eventually repealing or modifying most of the laws by 1887. The lesson: Don't be like Otto. Stay in your lane. Hire help.
ĐⱤØ₲Ø @KAGdrogo First time Trump spoke at Davos, he told them to their face he rejects their totalitarian ‘climate change’ agenda “to dominate, transform and control every aspect of our lives.” He’s going again to tell the WEF their dream of a global government is OVER.
Try going over to your nearby Ukrainian Catholic parish -- you talk to the priest before a daily Mass and say "Spovid." And he says, "You want Confession?" He later says, "Like tell God sorry?" Ans you do, And then for penance he says, "Take one rosary." No line, nothing. Nobody commits sins in this, my parish (and a half mile walk away) except the stray Latin Rites. And then you "take" the rosary walking home, and you thank Our Lord for having placed you so close to this gem of a parish in today's crazy Church.
I said it in one of the dreams I shared that the Lord showed me 17 years ago, and confirmed last year with the sign of the cross drawn with the clouds in the sky outside my house that WW 3 will start during the presidency of Donald Trump when a solar eclipse and a blood moon eclipse happen. I mentioned the main nations involved in the beginning of this war. The world is now entering the judgement to all nations, the GREAT TRIBULATION WHICH STARTED LAST YEAR, AND THE PAINS WILL INCREASE GRADUALLY AS A WOMAN READY TO GIVE BIRTH. OFFER ANY ILLNESS, PAIN, SUFFERINGS YOU MAY BE GOING THROUGH TO OUR LADY TO OFFER TO OUR LORD FOR THE SALVATION OF SOULS, AND THANK THE LORD DAILY ALL DAY FOR ALL HIS BLESSINGS, BECAUSE EVEN EATING AND DOING YOUR BODILY NEEDS ARE HUGE BLESSINGS AND WE NEVER GIVE THANKS FOR THAT. I skipped many details in my 3 dreams, because in all 3 I say over and over again that we must pray unceasingly, this can not be avoided, it will happen but we need to pray for the salvation …More

The Army, "Chinese brains" and Russian "Murmansk BN": Iran has neutralized Starlink and is on its way to suppressing the wave of unrest. ----- Tehran has found an answer to the instigators of unrest. The Iranian army has announced that it is ready to participate in suppressing the unrest and has declared that it intends to "resolutely defend national interests, strategic infrastructure, and state property." The army blamed Israel and "terrorist groups" for the escalation, according to the Wall Street Journal. Until now, street rioters have been dispersed by the police and militarized formations, primarily structures associated with the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps. The "Israeli footprint" in the events in Iran is becoming increasingly apparent. Foreign Minister Abbas Arakchi said Tehran has evidence of Washington and Tel Aviv's involvement in the unrest. Arakchi also accused the US and Israel of "terrorist acts." In response, Israel publicly expressed its support for the protesters …More
Saint Pio and Saint Pope John Paul II’s friendship dated back to 1947 when the young Father Karol Wojtyla was engaged in doctoral studies at Rome’s Pontifical International Athenaeum Angelicum, the future Pontifical University of Saint Thomas Aquinas.
As they say, 'It takes one to know one.' Inasmuch as I might fault Pope JP II on what he could have done to prevent our current malaise in the Church (not limited to some of his dubious appointments of turncoat ecclesiastics) I believe he aspired to be saintly in his own priestly life.
Pope Leo has named Rev. Don Stefano Cascio as Vice Director of the Laudato Si’ Center for Advanced Training, an initiative established by Pope Francis to promote integral ecology by addressing climate change, sustainability, and social justice. The appointment underscores both continuity and a renewed strengthening of the Vatican’s commitment to the principles of Laudato si’.
